I am not a coffee drinker so I ALWAYS get their Carmel Apple Spice. I'm pretty sure it comes straight from Heaven. Yep. Pretty sure.

I made rolls today. They were so yummy! That's a big feat for someone who isn't a great cook! But that's one of my goals this year - to make dinner at least 5 times during the week. So far, I've cooked every single day. I'm on a roll - no pun intended :)

I was getting ready to go to bed - with no picture taken for the day - when I saw this sitting on our coffee table. I love his drawings and think he's quite good (so I had to get 2 pictures of it).

Since this little one was born, I have done pictures of her every month. Today was her last photoshoot to document her first year. I will miss shooting her gorgeous little face every month! Last night after Family Home Evening, Bry went downstairs to work out for a little bit. All of a sudden Rett runs up grabs his shoes and tells me that he's going to get his exercise too with Dad. I grabbed the camera and went downstairs. I found Rett doing lunges with Bry - holding my little weights. I cherish these little moments, as I'm sure Bry does too.

I have a feeling the next few days are going to be busy. This was one of them. It's my Mother-in-law's day of birth so we all got together to celebrate. Bry and I had a pretty crazy day and at the party I realized I hadn't taken a picture yet! So I whipped out the camera phone. The picture is way too grainy I almost didn't post it. But I love the feeling of it. All of us squished on the table playing games. I love family. And I love my brother-in-law's face (in the Abercrombie shirt). Doesn't he look like such a gamer?! It was intense.

After a really rough day with kids.....walking in to find them asleep pretty much takes away all of the frustration - well, almost all of it. They look so peaceful - like angels. Hard to believe sometimes that they were the crazy kids driving you bonkers all day!

First thing - it was freezing cold during this shoot!!!! Good thing I brought hand warmers for us (although mine didn't really get warm until I was on my way home). I'm sure I looked just lovely. My eyes kept watering and I had makeup running down my face. But these two were troopers. Stacey had the cutest idea to do - they had just found out they were expecting and wanted to tell their families for Christmas with a picture. Greatest idea ever!!! (I had to shoot one with 2 pairs of shoes....just in case :)

So, this year I wanted to do something different. Something I have actually wanted to do for the past 2 years, but bombed it during the first week and just gave up. Well, not this year. This year is....well...sortof a new beginning for me. And this is one of my goals: To take at least one picture every day. I'm doing this for several reasons. To practice photography every day, to get better at taking pictures, to capture everyday moments around me, to get a picture on my photoblog everyday (I've been horrible at posting on here!) - just to name a few. I don't have a specific theme in mind - it may be of my kids, someone I know, someone I don't, heck - it might not be of a living thing?! But it's my '365' and parts of my life and how I see things.

I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I'll have taking them.

And I just really wanted to thank those that believed in me this past year. Those that had me capture their moments and those that referred me. I seriously love you! You have no idea how much it means to me.

Here's to new adventures and happiness on our journey!

The beautiful girl in the first pic is my dear friend Millie (my nickname for her - I really don't know if I've ever really called her by her "real" name!) We've been friends since Jr. High and have been through a lot together. I still have a video she made for me for my 16th birthday - hilarious!

Anyway, I was so excited when her family asked me to do their pictures. I haven't seen Millie for years - she and Troy live out of state. She just had her 4th baby in October!!

When I first started really wanting to take pictures of people, these 2 were really supportive and let me practice on them. They were my first "official" photo shoot ;) And so, this is the 3rd year I've taken their pics. We've been friends for years (as I've posted before). We were at each other's weddings and we were pregnant with our first babies together. Makayla and Bryn are only 6 weeks apart. And now, we're next door neighbors ;) Mandee's been there for me through a lot - especially the last few months. When I had surgery the first time, she planted my flowers, weeded my flower beds, brought us dinner, watched the kids. Clint has even fixed a broken pipe for me while Bry was hunting (I didn't even know how to turn the water off! ha ha). We love you guys! Thanks for letting me take your pics again!!

WOW - I absolutely positively love love love the fall! Bry and I took a drive a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with all of colors. Jess had already asked me to do their pics and we already had a spot picked out, but that night I called her and said that we needed to change spots! I'm sure she wasn't too excited, but once we got up there, we were both smitten. The night was beautiful and we had a blast. Aren't they a gorgeous family?!

Favorite people

Meet two of my favorite people. Whenever I think of Art and Karen, so many memories fill my mind. They've known me for most of my life. They are great friends of my mom and dad's. My dad would do a lot of "building" jobs for them when I was growing up and so I was at their house a lot. And my favorite thing to do with them...sit in their front room and play Art's Grand piano. I remember him sitting by me and kicking my foot off the peddle cause I held it too long. He had me playing "Jessica's Theme" perfectly ;) I could sit there all day and watch him play. See, Art plays by ear. And it's one of the most beautiful sounds you've ever heard.

I loved playing at their house. And when I was little, I asked Karen if I could get have my reception in her backyard when I got older. She said absolutely. So, when I got older, I did just that.

Anyway, meet Art and Karen.

WOW! This night was incredible! Incredibly beautiful and sweet couple. My darling and amazing friend Ang drove down from Idaho to help me out and be my "assistant" for the night (she's one of the reasons I became so interested in photography). Can I say the word "incredible" one more time? It really was a gorgeous ceremony and everyone was so gracious. I feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to be there.

That was all I could say when Lindsey walked out in her dress. She makes such a beautiful bride....
I took both of her sisters bridals (Becca here and my sweet friend Jess here) last year. So, I was way excited when Lindsey said she wanted me to do some for her. And the best part - we did the shoot in the mountains at her grandparents cabin! How awesome is that?! I literally was in heaven . It was such a fun shoot. Thanks to Jess for being my "assistant" - you were AWESOME! And Linds - thanks for putting up with me for 3+ hours of shooting. You're a trooper :)

Well, at least the flowers have...

I've had the awesome opportunity to tag along with a great photographer friend lately. (THANK YOU...THANK YOU Scott!!! See his amazing talent here). Last Tuesday, I was able to go to Salt Lake with him for a bridal shoot. During some "down time" I snapped a few pictures of the flowers at the Salt Lake Temple and another great spot we shot at.

Moab Jeep Safari - 2010 edition

Every year, my hubster's family goes to Moab, UT for the Easter Jeep Safari. They've been doing this since my Mother-in-law was a little girl. It's been a fun tradition to carry on with them.

We started out the trip by watching all the "crazies" go up Potato Salad.... Here's just a portion of the Jeeps...it's insane, but awesome!

Saturday was the "Jeep Parade". They close the main road for a while and everyone going on trails lines up. It's pretty dang cool. Here's my brother-in-law Dano's truck. Someone drove by us when we got on the trail and told Dano his truck was "Bad A**" - so there you have it...

This beauty used to be my Father-in-law's blue Bronco. Bry's uncle's friend (stay with me..), Bob, bought it and turned it into this sweet ride.

We enjoyed a very much needed vacation to West Yellowstone this past weekend. Our great friends Mandee and Clint invited us up there. When Bry and I had been married a year, we bought our first home. And next door lived this family.... I can't believe how fast we became friends. Trish is one of the most giving and sweetest people I know (not to mention she is an awesome cook - especially to someone who hardly ever cooks -me!!). When we moved 2 1/2 years ago - I was so sad to be leaving her. I miss having her next door - especially since I don't get her yummy yummy treats anymore or get to visit with her as often as I used to. So, anyway, it made my whole day when she asked me to do their family pictures. These are her 3 BEAUTIFUL kiddos.

He'd see me with that camera and run the other way. Aren't his eyes amazing?! And I LOVED the colors they wore - since orange and green are my favorite colors.

We went up to Albion Basin this weekend to have my sister-in-law take some family pics of us... The colors were AMAZING to say the least. I was so excited going up there - I just wish we would've had more time to stay (hungry, tired kids don't mix with an anxious camera happy mom...) Enjoy the pics.

Jackson Hole

I just got back from a week in Jackson - my favorite place. There's something about the Tetons that captivates me. I can't get enough of them (just ask Bry - I think I took over 100 pics of just the Tetons!!). My next favorite thing is the old barn on Mormon Row. (Is it weird to be in LOVE with an old barn?!) I had to take advantage of it and get some shots of my kiddos. Bryn is my little poser/model. She LOVES the camera. And Rett is.....well - all boy! I love how they turned out! I just wish I would've had more time. Our nephew Jace and my mother-in-law were with us, so I got some shots of them too.

Bridal sneak peak....

This was one of the funnest shoots I've done. My friend Jess recommended me to her sister (THANKS!) and she chose me to do her bridals.....talk about pressure! But we had a blast, and my awesome sis-in-law Heidi came along to help me out with poses (and to run back to the truck for my other lens and extra cards!! - I love ya!) I took a gazillion pictures - no joke. We had way too much fun. And man - isn't she a gorgeous bride?! Here's your "sneak peak" Becca! (And check out my new sig - don't ya love it?!)

Oh man - Whit is one of my sweetest friends. I just love her. She makes me laugh and we have so much fun together! When she told me she was pregnant (9 months ago), I told her that I HAD to take prego shots of her. I'm not sure how excited she was, but I think they turned out awesome! Mike was a good sport and the girls cooperated as much as they could for me ;) Baby Madison was born late Thursday night and I get to take pics of her this week!!! So, those will be coming soon. Thanks for letting me do these Whit - you were one hot prego lady!!!

My friend Sarah from high school has been asking me to do her boys pics since January - but my work schedule was just too crazy (plus it was super cold outside). Well, the weather got nice and work slowed down - so here we are. Little Zach was so shy and well, Hayden just isn't a fan of pictures. He wanted to check out the fish! Who can blame him?!

Moab - Jeep Safari

We went to Moab over the weekend to watch all the jeepers. We used to do the Jeep Safari when we were first married - BL had a sweet jeep. This was our first time back in 6 years... I was excited to take pics of something other than grey & white!

I LOVE taking photographs. I'm so blessed to have a man who supports me and is patient while waiting in the car with 2 sleeping kids while I stand outside for 1/2 hour taking a gazillion photos of an old fence and stops every 50 feet because something catches my eye that I HAVE to photograph!!......and who gives me "constructive critisism" so that I can become a better photographer. You rock my world!!

The kids were itching to be outside yesterday - so we braved being blown all around and took them to a park we found by our house. And since I have my new lens I HAD to bring the camera along for the ride. (Sorry to those who have been waiting "patiently" for me to update....hopefully a lot more to come.) I'm so sad that I haven't been able to get out and take some pictures. One of my lenses is out of commission at the moment and in all honesty I haven't had the time to get out and take some shots. Hopefully soon.....

Meet the "B" Family! Brittan has the most gorgeous blue eyes...just like her mom. Lyndsey and I have been friends for a few years (She's also Bry's cousin & does my hair!) and Bry used to build houses with Zack. Plus - Lynds is prego with her 2nd girl! It was so stinkin' cold outside that we really didn't have that long to do pictures. But I think we got some good shots.

Last weekend, Bry took me up Trappers Loop so that I could get some mountain winter shots. It was pretty dang cold, but I was just happy to be out taking pictures. To top it all off Garrett got car sick on the way back down the canyon.....which in turn made me sick. At least I got some good shots!

(I took Bry's picture in the same spot fly fishing in the fall...)
